⚡ The Beginning — 2016
It started on the streets of Tamil Nadu in 2016. Armed with a camera and a passion for capturing real moments, Sridhar began his creative journey as a street photographer — chasing light, people, and stories through the lens in a way that no studio could replicate.
🎬 The Evolution
Photography quickly evolved into filmmaking, drone aerial cinematography, VFX production, and content creation. With a Visual Communication degree and years of hands-on experience across weddings, events, film sets, and VFX studios, Sridhar built a deep understanding of what creators actually need on the ground — and what the Indian market was failing to deliver.
💡 The Spark — Why BLACKPIXEL
Through his experience creating content and working on real productions, Sridhar recognized the challenges faced by photographers, filmmakers, and content creators in finding high-quality gear at reasonable prices. Professional accessories were either expensive imports or low-quality domestic alternatives that failed under real shooting conditions. There was no Indian brand building gear for creators, by creators.

In 2022, Sridhar founded BLACKPIXEL Products OPC Private Limited with a clear vision — to make professional-quality creative equipment more accessible, reliable, and affordable for creators across India. Every product combines thoughtful design, real-world durability, and practical functionality born from years of actual shooting experience.
